After 7 months of closure, the 3 museums of the city will finally welcome the public again. The usual timetables and prices have been restored (see Practical information section) and all museum spaces will be accessible again.
A health protocol remains essential for everyone’s safety: face mask (even for vaccinated people), hand washing, respect for social distances, disinfection of contact surfaces and ventilation of screening rooms.
Bayeux museums are accessible WITHOUT prior reservation and no health pass or negative PCR test will be required at entry. You just need to arm yourself with a little patience, especially to visit the Bayeux Tapestry which remains a must-see in summer, even in normal times!
In accordance with the French government directives following the resurgence of the Coronavirus, the 3 museums in Bayeux will remain closed to the public until further notice.
Due to the summer crowds and respect for social distancing, the museum of the Bayeux Tapestry can accept only 500 persons per day.
