In accordance with the French government directives following the resurgence of the Coronavirus, the 3 museums in Bayeux will remain closed to the public until February 1st 2021.
Since the announcement of the eventual loan of the Bayeux Tapestry to the UK, the museum confirms that visitors can see the embroidery in Bayeux still for few years....
A major work by Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894), Paysage à Argenteuil (1889), has just entered the national collections. A deposit of the Musée d'Orsay at the MAHB will allow the public to discover this painting in February 2020 in Bayeux.
