An audioguide included in the entry fee (16 languages proposed) will be given to you to discover the tapestry. The visit begins with the discovery of the original artefact and then continues with a permanent exhibition and a film. Duration of visit is about 1h30. Any comment or oral guidance in the exhibition gallery of the masterpiece is prohibited. Pets are not allowed in the museum except guide assistance dogs. For security reasons any baggage or bulky bag will be refused. Bayeux museums are accessible WITHOUT prior reservation. From the 14th of March, the vaccination pass is no longer required to enter museums.
The Bayeux Tapestry Museum is easily accessible from the SNCF train station or the major highways. Parking is in the immediate vicinity. The short distance separating the 3 museums of the city makes it possible to reach them on foot.
